A big cheer for our under 8's A team who, in March this year, won the Manchester Challenge Cup in fine style. They are certainly a team to be reckoned with as they move up to play at under 9 level next season. Well done to all our under 9 teams who, at the end of the 2007/08 season, have all finished in either first or second position in their respective divisions, a great achievement for all those involved! Congratulations to our Chairman Mike Wallis and his team after recently producing a decisive win in the final of The Grappenhall Veterans 6 a side tournament. There's life in the 'old dogs' yet! In 2006/07, Appleton Boys enjoyed their most successful season to date and are continuing to go from strength to strength, with teams in the first division of the Warrington Junior Football League at every age group from U9 to U16. The club are applying for the prestigious FA Charter Standard Club status following an intensive series of coaching courses across all age groups over the summer. |

Club/Team Sonsors - 2007/08 Sponsorship plays an important part in the provision of football at all ages, but none are perhaps more important than at junior age groups, where additional funding can make an important contribution to the development of children within a local community. Appleton Boys is therefore very proud to be able to list the companies and organisations on the right as having very generously donated towards the development of football in our local area. |
